Ok, guys this is important.

I am still a board member on the State board of the Ohio Water Well Association  and as such my finger on the pulse of the water issues in the state. Data centers......they are coming. One of the wasteful things about the centers besides the incredible amount of electricity they consume is the cooling of the equipment and the massive amount of water that it takes. Most architects have no idea that there exists a method to cool other than the "pump and dump" that they use for nearly all of the data centers. This irresponsible design wastes hundreds of thousands of gallons a day of ground water if wells are used. Here is a position paper put out by our sister organization the National Ground Water Association. On the second page, second paragraph it reads "geothermal  systems." Of course the data centers companies will completely ignore and fight this alternative way of cooling because it will cost a little more on initial construction. It would save our groundwater resources in Ashland County. If elected. I will hold these people's feet to the fire and make sure that they dont screw up our groundwater with their pump and dump wastefulness.
